Katie Holmes' Ex, Tom Cruise, Refuses To Visit Daughter Suri On Her 10-Years-Old Birthday?
Katie Holmes wouldn’t miss her daughter Suri Cruise' 10th birthday for anything. However, Tom Cruise has reportedly given his 10-years old daughter yet another excuse as why he’ll miss her big day yet again.
According to In Touch magazine. the 53-year-old actor “is in the middle of filming The Mummy and couldn’t tear himself away,” a source tells the magazine, explaining why Cruise will be in Oxford, England by the time Suri blows out the candles on her cake.
The actress' “heart breaks for Suri,” the source told the mag. “[Tom’s] had plenty of chances to see Suri in the past,” the insider adds, noting that it’s been more than 900 days since Tom has seen Suri. However, Katie has been labeled as a “suppressive person” by the Church of Scientology, according to the report, and “the closeness to her daughter likely makes seeing them both off-limits to Tom.”
Holmes has definitely endured a lot, first from being Mrs. Tom Cruise and then having to file for divorce from him. But despite all the heartache and hardships that she has faced, the 37-year-old actress has kept a mostly positive attitude about her rocky life.
"I don’t really regret anything that I’ve done," she told Ocean Drive magazine. "I’ve learned from everything, and everything sort of leads you to the next place. I just keep going."
Though Holmes didn't mention her ex-husband Tom Cruise, it is possibly likely that she is referring to her six year marriage with the Mission: Impossible action star. The main reason for their split was reportedly said to be about the actor's controversial ties with Scientology.
While Cruise is supposedly a deadbeat dad, Katie wouldn’t trade being a mom for anything in the world.
“[It] changes you completely in such amazing ways,” Katie said. “And I think that you become who you were meant to be. Being a parent also is a source of inspiration to just work really hard. You want to set an example and, you know, [your kids] are what drives you.”
