'Homeland' Season 6 Spoilers: Will Peter Quinn Die After Carrie Mathison Stops ISIS Attacks?
Showtime's political thriller drama, Homeland will be back with season 6 in 2016. Before the premiere of the show, there has been a lot of speculation about the fate of show's two major characters. Fans are wondering what exactly happened with Peter Quinn and how is Carrie Mathison going to fight against the rising attacks from ISIS?
Well, if anyone can compare Quinn (played by Rupert Friend) with Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington) from Game of Thrones, then the person is not wrong at all. The show creators of Homeland and Game of Thrones have left viewers wondering about the fate of these two characters. For now, we have no idea whether Quinn is alive or Snow is finally dead after getting stabbed by his fellow Night Watchers. However, from the recent updates, it looks like Quinn is not going to survive for long but we still are in dark when it comes to Snow.
Major Spoilers:
The season 5 finale of Homeland titled, A False Glimmer, showed the backstory of Quinn and how he gets help from Mathison (played by Claire Danes). What is going to happen to Quinn is still a mystery to us. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Showtime president, Gary Levine talked about Quinn's future in the show.
"Quinn is severely damaged. There is no question about it. The life-or-death question remains. But if he should live, it will not be in any way, shape or form the way he has lived to date."
Does this mean that at the end of upcoming season, we are going to see the dawn of Quinn?
Meanwhile, after the events shown in the season five, Mathison will be seen living a normal life for sometime as CIA head in USA only. One thing we know for sure that even if Mathison tries to have a normal life, she will find the trouble at every corner. According to Sioux City Journal, Homeland's showrunner Alex Gansa revealed that the writing team has decided to let Mathison stay in USA only for the upcoming season.
"We've taken her through so much sturm and drang over the last few years that we thought it would be nice to give her a little domestic bliss - which, by the way, was not something everybody wanted to do or everyone wanted to see on our staff."
In the previous seasons of Homeland, we saw how Mathison faced and fought the rising terror from the Middle East. Now, everyone knows that ISIS is the current major problem USA is facing these days, so the chances are very extreme that the show creators will bring some real life events or personalities in the upcoming season.
