'The Amazing Race' 22 Recap: Episode 8 'My Cheese is Out of Control' Results, Chuck and Wynona and Joey and Meghan Race to the Finish in Snowy Switzerland

Last night, episode 8 of "The Amazing Race" on CBS saw the pairs go through their toughest challenges yet. In the episode "My Cheese is Out of Control" the remaining teams of racers had to trek through the frigid conditions in Switzerland and roll wheels of cheese down a snowy mountain. While some teams had a lot of trouble with this task, like Chuck and Wynona and Joey and Meghan, other teams were able to brave the freezing conditions to continue on. Who was the next pair to be eliminated on season 22 of "The Amazing Race?"

The hockey players Bates and Anthony once again were able to finish in first place. This was the third week in a row they have finished in first place and they are taking over for David and Connor as the strongest pair on the show. Meanwhile, a couple of female pairs proved to be strong competitors, even in the face of tough physical conditions. Roller Derby moms Beth and Mona overcame just missing a train to finish in second place this week.They have maintained a rather low profile all season and now they are at the top of the leader board. Another pair of females had a strong week as country singers Caroline and Jennifer finished in fourth place and remain in the competition.

There was a dramatic moment Sunday night when two teams missed a train by seconds that the rest of the shows teams were on. As the train doors were closing, Max and Katie, Chuck and Wynona, Caroline and Jennifer, and Bates and Anthony all watched from the train as Mona and Beth and Joey and Megan ran up to to train seconds too late.

Mona and Beth were able to overcome the missed train to finish in second place, while Joey and Megan were in a race to finish before Chuck and Wynona. The final obstacle saw the teams climbing a snowy mountain with sleds, then taking wheels of cheese and using the sleds to get them down the mountain. While Chuck and Wynona finished before Joey and Meghan, they were penalized 30 minutes because they didn't use the sleds to get the cheese down the mountain. In the end, Joey and Megan squeaked by Chuck and Wynona and finished in fifth place. Therefore, Chuck and Wynona have been eliminated from season 22 of "The Amazing Race."
