The Flash Season 2 SPOILERS: Twitter Reacts Candice Patton/Iris West-Allen Relationship Twist!

The CW Network continues with Season 2 of The Flash. With the identity behind the super-villain Zoom (voiced by Tony Todd) revealed, Twitter had lots to say about the shocking twist behind Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton)'s future relationship with the scarlet speedster!

In our previous recap, in hopes of learning how to run faster, Barry time-travelled to the past, but was discovered by the evil Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh). Because he messed with the time-stream, the scarlet speedster had to outrun the time wraith. With the help of Pied Piper (Andy Mientus), the Flash defeated the wraith and came back with Well's drive, which contained knowledge of the speed force. Barry came back as well with a gift from the past for Iris, a video from Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett).

In our recent recap, Iris ditched her date with her editor because she couldn't stop thinking of Barry. Because of their married life in Earth-2, Iris wondered if they were destined to be soul mates But her love was not enough to stop Zoom from stealing Barry's speed force. With Barry back as human, Zoom kidnapped Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and took her back to his world.

In an interview with TV Line, Teddy Sears explains Hunter Zolomon's feelings for Caitlin, mirror Barry's love for Iris, "Hunter Zolomon has been kissing Caitlin this whole time, and Hunter Zolomon has real feelings for Caitlin, while he played everybody else. What wasn't part of the plan was falling for Caitlin, so that was a nice little twist. That was something the writers wanted me to keep in mind very early on, that what quote-unquote "Jay" is experiencing for Caitlin is very real and unanticipated. The one thing that was real, the only thing that was real, was his feelings for her."
