Prince 911: Shocking Call Revealed, Lovesexy Singer Suffered Drug Overdose Days Before Death
More heartbreaking details are emerging about Prince’s untimely death. The transcript of the 911 call when te Lovesexy singer was found unconscious was released on April 21. It gives clear insight into the devastating panic of his friends while trying to help recover from his drug overdose days before.
Police have released the transcripts from the 911 call made when Prince's body was found in an elevator in his estate in Minnesota. The call was made at 9:43 a.m. Thursday by an unidentified male, according to the transcript, provided by the Carver County Sheriff's Office.
“Um, we’re at Prince’s house,” an unidentified man said on the call, a transcript of which was obtained by TMZ. “So, yeah, um, the person is dead here.”
The caller didn’t know the address of Prince suburban Minneapolis estate, but eventually got the information from someone else at the home.
When asked how the person in question died, the caller said he didn't know. After telling the dispatcher, they were at Paisley Park, he confirmed the person was Prince.
"Yes, it's Prince," he said.
The dispatcher then called for an ambulance to head over to Paisley Park Studios at 7801 Audubon Road. She described Prince as "down" and "not breathing."
Later on, CPR was done but those efforts were unsuccessful. News of Prince's death emerged hours later.
TMZ reports that Prince suffered a drug overdose just six days before he died. It turns out it wasn’t the flu that caused his plane made an emergency landing in Illinois; it was something far more dangerous.
Prince was rushed to a hospital on April 15 after his flight made an emergency landing due to his health. Now the site is reporting that the singer needed a “save shot” from a doctor in order to combat an opiate overdose. This is way off of the initial claims that he had been taken ill with the flu and needed immediate attention.
The site also claims that doctors advised the legendary musician to stay in the hospital for at least a day, but that his people demanded that he get a private room. When they were told "that wasn't possible," Prince and his entourage flew back home after spending only three hours in the hospital. TMZ also notes that their sources said that when Prince left he “was not doing well.”
