Daft Punk "Get Lucky": Watch Pharrell Talk Making-Of The Single Off 'Random Access Memories'

Pharrell sat down and talked about his contribution to Daft Punk's upcoming album Random Access Memories, the Nile Rodgers-featuring single "Get Lucky."

The video is part four of the French electro duo's The Collaborators project, in which people who played a role in the development of their new album discuss how it went down.

Pharrell says he was willing to do anything on the track.

"Whatever you do, call me - I'll play tambourine on it," he said.

Pharrell says that the guys behind Daft Punk and himself were on the exact same wavelength in Paris. He claims that he went to them saying he wanted to do something like Nile Rodgers. The duo said "Ok, this is what we want you to write to" and proceeded to play a clip of Nile Rodgers playing guitar that they had already recorded for the track.

"It's crazy because on two sides of the Atlantic, we were both in the same place," said Pharrell.

Listen up for the part where it appears that the uber-secretive robots behind Daft Punk may have drugged the producer. Pharrell says they gave him some "holistic tablet" that upped his energy after a long flight. However, upon returning home, Pharrell claims he couldn't remember anything.

"I had forgotten everything. Still to this day I can't figure out...was it really the jet lag or did the robots hit me with the Men In Black "you will remember nothing after this"?"

Clear seven minutes off of your schedule and take a look at the video. It's worth it.
