Rick Ross is making headlines again, as the controversy with his date rape lyrics on Rocko's "U.O.E.N.O." continues to simmer. Since being dropped by Reebok, at the request of women's rights activists nationwide, Rick Ross is rumored to be upset at losing out on millions, he allegedly abandoned his Reebok collection, for Air Jordans.

Rick Ross made two crucial lyrical mistakes, according to women's activists and rap critics nationwide. First he promoted date rape, then he mentioned Reebok in the same verse.

"Put Molly all up in her champagne, she ain't even know it, I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain't even know it," Ross casually rapped.  A few bars in he gave Reebok a plug with the lines "I'll die over these Reeboks."

Women's rights activists jumped on the opportunity to stress Reebok to sever ties with the MMG exec, and Thursday, April 11 Reebok announced the termination of his contract.

In a statement Friday, April 12, Ross said being a musician is "a great responsibility" and that his choice of words in the song "does not reflect my true heart."

"Before I am an artist, I am a father, a son, and a brother to some of the most cherished women in the world. So for me to suggest in any way that harm and violation be brought to a woman is one of my biggest mistakes and regrets," Rick Ross's statement said.

However, fans were not pleased with his delayed response to the reaction. Ross did not release his statement until Friday, one day after Reebok dropped him.  He barely acknowledged, the interpretation of his lyrics, disregarding it as a "misinterpretation."

According to inside sources the contract was worth millions, and Rick Ross in pissed at the financial deficit.

TMZ Reported, Ross is telling people he was entitled to corporate forgiveness because he did so much for the brand ... bringing classic Reeboks back in style in the hip-hop community.

Ross is getting over Reebok by embracing a different brand.  He posted a pic Tuesday of himself in Air Jordans, with the caption: Another day at the office. #DoubleM

Rick Ross is entitled to his feelings, but Reebok will stand by their decision.  "We are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse," Reebok said in a statement.

Well one thing is for sure, Rick Ross is trying to be "rich forever."   Do you think he will secure a new endorsement deal soon?
