Bones Season 12 Spoilers: Are David Boreanaz & Emily Deschanel's Booth/Brennan Back in 2017?
Season 11 of Bones currently continues on Fox. In the final Season 12 of Bones, will Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) be returning to a new "time slot" in 2017?
As we previously mentioned, the Jeffersonian team hasn't been the same since Aubrey (John Boyd) risked his life to save Hodgins as they unexpectedly found themselves near a bomb. Though the blast sent them both to the hospital, Hodgins and Angela (Michaela Conlin) discovered the explosion has left Hodgins paralyzed. Knowing he can never walk again, Hodgins has sunk deeper into depression, struggling to save his marriage,as he even contemplated experimental surgery.
We mentioned before, the Fox drama has been granted a twelfth and final season. The final season will consist of 12 episodes, which brings the episode tally to 246. When the new fall season arrives, the new Lethal Weapon adaptation will be taking over the time slot of Rosewood. Viewers have been accustomed to watching the freshmen drama of Rosewood airing before Empire on Wednesdays. For its sophomore season, the procedural series starring Morris Chestnut will move to Thursdays at 8 pm, which was supposed to lead into the final season of Bones.
Now TV Line has offered an update, Fox has changed around its 2016-17 lineup to capitalize on the good word of mouth buzzing around its new baseball drama, Pitch. Its turns out Pitch will now launch this fall on Thursdays, replacing Bones. The final season of Bones will now bow in Winter 2017 in a timeslot that is to-be-determined.
We can only speculate that Fox will air all 12 episodes, instead of splitting them in half. We can only assume this means Fox will air 12 episodes in 12 weeks.
Bones will return to Fox for its last season in 2017.
