Tyga CASH MONEY [VIDEO]: Rapper Says 'I Never Got Check From Young Money/Cash Money,' Hotel California Rapper Depends on Himself, Not Label

Tyga may be living the rapper life with his cars, chains, and California mansion, but the Young Money/Cash Money artist apparently did not pay for it with funds from Cash Money, because he "never received a check."

Birdman and Lil Wayne are holding back their millions according to Tyga, who recently chatted with New York's Power 105.1 "Breakfast Club," to promote his third solo album "Hotel California." The "Do My Dance" confirmed rumors of Cash Money's lack of payment.

I never got a check from Young Money/Cash Money, Tyga told radio hosts, Angela Yee, DJ Envy, and Charlemagne The God.   "But by me saying that, I've always treated my career like independent and everything that I got is because of myself, my own endorsements, me touring, myself. I think I got a signing bonus when I first signed but that was it."

When Tyga first joined the Young Money team, around the time of 2009 release of the "We Are Young Money" compellation album, it appeared as though they were one big team, however Tyga is leaning more towards the independent side. "If I wanted to be independent...I could do that because it would be no difference. I would still tour, put out albums and still sell out shows."

Despite "not receiving" a Young Money check, Tyga seems to be maintaining from his own stash. "At a certain time, you get your money but at the same time, they pay for your videos and all that other stuff. But I never really was dependent on the label like that," he told the Breakfast Club.

Former Cash Money artist, Juvenile, lserved ties with Cash Money account of  money issues.  He told Complex in November 2012 interview, "My reason [to leave Cash Money] is the same reason most artists leave their label-money. The music business is like the sports business. We use entertainment agents, entertainment lawyers. The only difference is they play sports. We all try to operate a certain way."
