'Can't Hold Us' Video: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Premiere Music Video, Tour Dates, Made in America Festival 2013, Bonnaroo
You have probably heard Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' hit single "Thrift Shop." The song has been played constantly on the radio and TV, making it one of the most recognizable songs of the past year. The band will try and make sure they aren't one hit wonders with their latest single "Can't Hold Us Down." Macklemore and Ryan Lewis have just released the official music video for "Can't Hold Us Down" which already has over one million views on YouTube.
Of course it will hard to top their "Thrift Shop" music video which has nearly 250 million views on YouTube and reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Now with the resources at hand to make an extravagant video, it looks like Macklemore and Lewis are taking advantage of them. According to MTV, the video shoot went through 16 different shoots and spanned six continents. The video also features singer Ray Dalton. The video was posted on April 17 and already has over one million views as of April 18.
The single "Can't Hold Us" is off the duo's new album The Heist, which was released back in October of 2012. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are currently in the midst of a college tour. According to Macklemore.com, they will be on tour until November 1, 2013 when they perform at the Voodoo Experience with Pearl Jam.
Over the summer it looks like Macklemore and Ryan Lewis will be performing at a number of music festivals including the Sasquatch Festival with Mumford & Sons, the Roots Picnic, Bonnaroo, and the Wireless Festival with Jay Z in London. They also announced on their website that they will be performing at Jay-Z's "Made in America Festival" taking place in Philadelphia at the end of the summer.
