'American Idol' 2013 Results Show Recap: Season 12 Top 5, Janelle Arthur Eliminated, Paula Abdul Returns, Clay Aiken, Fantasia Perform, April 18 Spoilers
Did last night's "American Idol" results show send one of the top 5 home or did the judges use their save? With five respectable singers left, many assumed whomever was voted off last night would get saved by the judges. Did it go as planned? Keep reading to find out. The top 5 singers remaining, all girls, are Candice Glover, Amber Holcomb, Angie Miller, Kree Harrison, and Janelle Arthur. Last night also featured the return of some "American Idol" greats. Clay Aiken and Fantasia both performed Thursday night, while the one and only Paula Abdul returned.
Jimmy Lovine gives his breakdown of the top 5 singers. Lovine goes through the contestants strengths and weaknesses before viewers are treated to a return from Paula Abdul who gives her take on the season. Clay Aiken is up next and performs "Bridge Over Troubled Water." Fantasia also makes her "American Idol" return singing her new single "Lose to Win."
This week Fox and "American Idol" decided to save all the results to the final 10 minutes of the show, keeping fans waiting. We find out Candice Glover, Angie Miller, and Amber Holcomb are all safe, leaving Kree Harrison and Janelle Arthur as the bottom two. Then Ryan Seacrest reveals that Janelle Arthur will have to sing to save herself from elimination.
Arthur sings "You Keep Me Hanging On" to try and save herself from being eliminated and convincing the judges to use their save on her. Unfortunately for the country singer the judges decide to not use their save on her, meaning Janelle Arthur has been eliminated from season 12 of "American Idol." Arthur was good, but she clearly was the worst singer left out of the top 5. This leaves Glover, Holcomb, Harrison, and Miller in the top 4 and it's anybody's guess who will win. Do you agree with the judges decision to not use their save on Janelle Arthur last night?
