"Love in the Moonlight" is a South Korean period drama which starred Park Bo-Gum as the Crown Prince Hyomyeong and Kim You-Jung as Hong Ra-on, a eunuch.

The television series is a romantic coming-of-age story of a Monarch and his unlikely relationship to a eunuch. According to the summary provided by My Drama List, Hong Ra-On, a woman, disguises herself as a man and gives dating advice to men. She met the Crown Prince because of a love letter she wrote for a client. The Crown Prince did not know of Hong Ra-On's real gender while Hong Ra-On is also not aware of the Crown Prince's real identity. The Crown Prince became interested of Ra-on and when his eunuchs became aware of this, they convinced Ra-On to become one of them.

The Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation has ranked "Love in the Moonlight" No. 1 in their list for earning a score of 126.91 million as reported by Manila Bulletin. This data is based on brand reputation of how consumers react to the series, including communication index and participation, as well as media values.

When it premiered on August 22, it ranked 17th on Nielsen ratings and later ranked second over-all for its tenth episode with a rating of 19.6 percent.

It can also be noted that Park Bo-Gum ranked first among Korean drama stars for brand index. He became very popular when he starred the 2015 drama "Reply 1988", which was considered to be the highest rated drama in the television history of Korea.

Kim You-Jung follows Park Bo-Gum in popularity among Korean drama stars.

The series is also known as "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" as it was based on the web novel of the same title, first serialized in 2013 by a popular web portal in Korea.

It airs every Mondays and Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on Korea's television channel KBS2 with its twelfth episode aired on September 27.
