Official Details for War for the Planet of the Apes Now Available
The Apes are back with its third franchise of the "The Planet of the Apes." Following the success of both the Rise and the Dawn franchises of the film, expectations for the final chapter of the franchise is set high but this should not be a problem for director Matt Reeves.
As reported by ScreenRant, it was announced by Fox Entertainment that War for the Planet of the Apes will be featured in this year's New York Comic Con on October 6, Andy Serkis will be present. That day is fast approaching but before that here's the synopsis of the movie that was released:
In War for the Planet of the Apes, the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise, Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.
The "Colonel" Caesar's rival, will be played by Woody Harrelson who is also seems up for the high bar that the movie is set for. Andy Serkis is back to portray Caesar as well as Judy Greer to play Cornelia, Caesar's mate. War for the Planet of the Apes happens three years after the "Dawn"- which was in a middle war. The final franchise seems to have hell break loose according to Den of Geek.
The movie will be released on July 14, 2017. Other actors will include Steve Zahn, Karin Konoval, Amiah Miller and Terry Notary. A trailer may be out by the end of the week, watch out for that.
