Is NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti The Answer To All Gaming Needs? [Watch]

The world of gaming roused to yet another stirring rumor about the possibility of a better gaming experience, if the NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti card enters the market. The whole excitement about this alleged graphic card can be attached to the fact that it might offer something near to NVIDIA's Titan X.

But this time, at almost half the price of the Titan X. The Titan X graphics chip is priced at an estimated $1200, whereas the new NVIDIA GTX 1080 TI is rumored to be priced at $799 at its highest price.

WCCFTech validated the gossip that the new NVIDIA graphics chip will feature 3328 active cores, at a frequency of 1503 MHz, but it will use the gentler GDDR5 memory. Even so the launch dates are not very clear but they might happen at the close of 2016. The argument is that NVIDIA may not be in a hurry to launch this chip, since it still stands unchallenged with the Titan X, other than a few compulsions from AMD.

There is a hope that this graphics chip can be clocked to 1733MHZ , since it uses a 320 bit bus which blends in well with its 12GB GDDR5X. iTechPost pointed out that the NVIDIA GTX 1080 will based on Pascal architecture and this means that it will have an edge over AMD's Radeon RX 490.

The AMD RX 490 is most probably based on AMD's latest Polaris 11 architecture or if it's lucky enough, it might run on a VEGA 10 structure. Whichever way, there's still a feeling that the RX 490 will stand challenged by what NVIDIA has done on the GTX 1080.

The debate on which is the better chip, between the two, will continue firing up in the gaming community, but I am very optimistic about NVIDIA. VEGA 10 might be a promising way for AMD to go.

But considering that the GTX 1080 is designed by the same people who created the Titan X monster, AMD has every reason to be cowed by the NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti.
