The Predator Faces Major Setback? Brody Holbrook Replaces Schwarzenegger As Lead

Schwarzenegger's role in the 1987 first 'Predator' movie made the movie hit, same as 2010's 'Predators' lead actor Adrien Brody. And now, on its major setback to find some redemption in 2018, 'The Predator' new lead actor is still a big question for fans.

According to Cinema Blend last month, fans anticipation got extremely high when it was reported that 'Sicario' star Benicio Del Toro will play the movie's main protagonist. Del Toro was known to appeared in several sci-fi movies including 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and the upcoming 'Star Wars: Episode VIII'.

Unfortunately, Benicio del Toro has dropped out of 'The Predator' before the casting has been made to be official. Del Toro, was reportedly "fell out of negotiations" with the 20th Century Fox to star in 'The Predator' 2018 movie. However, there is no precise details were discussed on the reasons for his dropping off.

Presently, 20th Century Fox is eyeing for 'Narcos' star and 'Wolverine' threequel villain Boyd Holbrook for the lead role. Aside from Netflix 'Narcos' as Steve Murphy, Boyd Holbrook's recent appearances includes Cardboard Boxer, Run All Night, Gone Girl, and Jane Got a Gun, The Skeleton Twins and the upcoming film from Fox 'Wolverine' as villainous Donald Pierce, as reported by Deadline Hollywood.

Though, Holbrook is not a brilliant actor as del Toro, the reason why 'The Predator' is planning on beefing up the supporting cast. Fans can expect plenty of their favorite Hollywood actors and actresses as well to make the movie a blockbuster.

There is a high possibility that Boyd Holbrook will take over del Toro's supposed role in 'The Predator'. And if this happens this project will significantly uplift his profile over the last couple of years.

Director Shane Black has confirmed that 'The Predator' story will be set in the present day. It will also involve human battling over one or more of these monstrous extraterrestrial hunters.

'The Predator' movie will be released on March 2, 2018, with the main protagonist to be announced soon. This hunt for the lead role is something that's giving Fox a bit of difficulty. Will Holbrook play the main character?
