The popular Japanese video game developer Capcom recently released their spin-off to the "Monster Hunter" series. "Monster Hunter Stories" released as both anime and video game in Japan in October 8 and is the top-selling title of the week.

Before the game, a trailer was released showing how to raise monsters from eggs to beasts. According to the report of Siliconera on the video, to acquire monsters the player will have to gather monsters' eggs first. The video also shows how to collect the eggs. The new feature of the game will allow the players to hatch them and raise the eggs to monsters that can be used in online battle.

These monsters that a player may raise in "Monster Hunter Stories" have their own unique characteristics. The monsters' characteristics can also be created by the hunter for a personal touch, though, it is not yet known how. There are numerous monsters on the game's gallery to choose from to become the player's buddy.

"Monster Hunter Stories: Ride On" is the title of the video game that was recently released in Japan. It also doubles as an anime.

It was reported by Inquisitr that the anime version of the game did not get a lot of audience impact. However, the "Monster Hunter Stories" video game made it to the top of the charts with a lot of good feedback from gamers.

The video game is more of a Japanese role-laying game, with a theme that is more like "Pokemon" and "Yo Kai Watch" but fans of the game still gave it a thumbs-up and the sale was high. It was reported that on its launch week itself in Japan, the game sold 140,603 copies.

The creation of "Monster Hunter Stories" was intended to expand the the franchise to a wider audience. However, there is no update of a North American release of the game.
