“Game of Thrones” Season 7 Updates: Possible Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow Wedding

"Game of Thrones" season 7 will air sometime in June next year but lately, juicy behind-the-scenes production shots were leaked online. These shots were secretly taken from a covert camera showing possible meeting between two main characters of the show. In the stolen shots, Kit Harrington who plays Jon Snow was seen conversing with Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys along a windswept mountain. According to reports, this looked like a Westeros set scene. The images also made GOT fans speculate of a possible union between Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow.

No official statement was issued regarding this possible wedding but International Business Times reported that this scene could be possible considering some important points of the popular HBO series.  First was the rumor that the actual Fire in George R.R. Martin's 'A Song of Ice and Fire' is actually Daenerys and the Ice is Jon who is from the cold North. The two could be planning to meet and unite so that they could overcome Cersei who is now Queen of the Seven Kingdoms.

The report also mentioned that Jon Snow is of Targaryen bloodline and is also related to Khaleesi. This was actually confirmed in "Game of Thrones" season 6. Targaryens are known to marry within their ranks to be able to preserve their geneology. And of course for Daenerys to eventually rule the Seven Kingdoms she needs allies. Marriage to strengthen her forces and claim her throne is the best course of action and there could be no other more worthy mate than Jon Snow.

Meanwhile, The Week reported that neither Daenerys nor Jon Snow knows that they are related. Speculations say that Jon could be Daenerys nephew if he is really the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. There could be two outcomes if Daenerys discovers her relation to Jon; she could become closer to the warrior from the North or she could see him as a possible threat to her throne and therefore no wedding could exist.

Fans of "Game of Thrones" would have to wait till June 2017 next year to find out if a possible union will indeed happen in season 7.
