THE FOLLOWING Recap Episode 13 'Havenport' (SPOILERS) Episode 14 Preview Clip 'The End is Near' [VIDEO]: The Story Took a Bad Turn

Last week's episode of the hit FOX crime drama The Following definitely had us all on the edges of our respective seats. In "Havenport," the conniving Roderick manages to weasel his way into the FBI's investigation since he is a local sheriff in the town of Havenport. Unfortunately for him, agent Mike Weston is no longer in the hospital. So what does he do when his cover is blown and he is now in harm's way? And where does "Havenport" leave us for tonight's episode "The End is Near?" (SPOILERS to Follow)

Though the previous episode left on a cliffhanger (Roderick becoming "part" of the investigation), we do not hang there long. A confrontation between Roderick and Weston pretty much immediately blows the former's cover and now he has to think on his feet. So he runs back to Joe and the cult's estate, insisting that they high tail it out of there. But Joe is extremely disappointed that Roderick blew his cover (like, right away!) so he starts to strangle his right-hand-man, stops, and tells him to get it together.

So what does Roderick do to "get it together?" He takes Joey and leaves! This of course comes after Ryan Hardy goes on television to offer immunity to any "follower" who comes forward with information about Carroll. Is this what Roderick is going to do?

Not exactly: He hides Joey, forces a ride out of a waitress and kills two cops. Joe is angry and sends Jacob (creepiest "follower" these days) to find Roderick, kill him, and bring back Joey. Claire pleads with Jacob to leave Joey someplace where the police can find him. Jacob pretty much says, "nope."

Roderick then turns himself in and offers Joey for his freedom. Hardy is now at the whims of this crazy guy and ditches his phone and gun in compliance. When he brings Hardy to Joey, Roderick pulls a gun on him but gets shot by a "follower." Jacob gets Joey, but eventually gives the boy up to Hardy.

With Joey safe, Claire offers to live with Joe in order to allow their son to live a normal life away from them. Then she totally just stabs him. Joe calls Ryan and says that he is pretty much going to kill Claire. This leads us to tonight's episode, "The End is Near."
