“The Big Bang Theory” Season 10 Updates: “Back to the Future” Christopher Lloyd to Guest Star
Executive producers of "The Big Bang Theory" have confirmed that Doc from "Back to the Future" Christopher Lloyd will guest star in one of its episodes this season. Lloyd, known for his zany roles in movies, will join the TBBT cast however there were no information yet on what his role would be. All that is known is that he will star on "The Big Bang Theory's" December 1 episode.
According to Variety, executive producers revealed that they were very excited working with the actor. The execs also said that they have created a fun episode that fans of the show will really enjoy.
A lot of popular people have actually appeared in "The Big Bang Theory" over the years, most only starred in one episode while others had recurring roles. Celebrities like Stephen Hawking, Elon Musk, Stan Lee, Howie Mandel and Charlie Sheen were just some of the names that have appeared in TBBT over the past ten seasons. Christopher Lloyd will add perfectly to the show's roster of popular science fiction actors and will surely boost its ratings this season.
Aside from reporting on Christopher Lloyd's role in "The Big Bang Theory," IGN also mentioned a new project created by the show's producers and showrunner Steven Molaro. The new TBBT spinoff entitled "Sheldon" which will be about the life of genius boy Sheldon Cooper in his hometown in Texas. Although none of the cast in "The Big Bang Theory" will be in the spinoff, it will take from the background of Sheldon that the series have slowly built. Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon Cooper in TBBT is an executive producer for the spinoff.
"Sheldon" will be a single-camera comedy series very much like the style in "Malcolm in the Middle." Sheldon Cooper's life struggles living with a regular family, a fraternal twin sister, a Christian mother and an absentee father will be the plot of the new show. Molaro said "Sheldon" will premiere next year and will be aired side by side "The Big Bang Theory."
