Michael Buble’s 3-Year Old Son On Chemo for Liver Cancer – Has 90% Chance of Beating Illness
Last week, Michael Buble and his wife Luisana Lopilato gave a heartbreaking announcement that their eldest son Noah, who is just 3-years old, has been diagnosed with liver cancer. Luisana's sister Daniela was interviewed by Argentinean magazine "Gente" and she said that the toddler has already started with chemotherapy and will be receiving treatment for four months. Chemotherapy will improve his chances of beating cancer at 90 percent.
Perez Hilton reported the news in his blog and said that "Gente" narrated how Noah was diagnosed with liver cancer. The news outlet said that Luisana took Noah to a hospital in Buenos Aires due to high fever. After examination, Noah was thought to have throat infection or mononucleosis. Noah underwent a battery of tests including an abdominal ultrasound which detected that he had trouble with his liver. Doctors informed Buble's wife that they found a stain in Noah's liver and they are still unsure if it is benign. They had to subject him to more tests.
Luisana took Noah to a specialist in Los Angeles, California for a second opinion and was where she was told that her son had liver cancer. During that time, Michael was in London.
Mail Online also reported on Noah's condition and cited his aunt Daniela's reference to his illness. "If God wanted it to be discovered that way, it's because he wants to save Noah" she said. Daniela also mentioned that they have faith that their little one will be able to overcome this horrible illness.
The family knows that treatment will be very difficult but it had to be done. Daniela thinks of her nephew as a fighter saying: "They say children are normally strong to put up with chemotherapy and my nephew is a warrior."
Michael and Luisana have announced their son's condition on the singer's official Facebook page. They mentioned that they have put their careers on hold to devote their time to little Noah as well as their nine-month old son Elias.
The Canadian singer was interviewed for "Entertainment Tonight" and he said that fatherhood was the best thing that ever happened to him. He mentioned that he loved his children more than he will love anything and his family gave him perspective on life. He ended the interview saying that it is hard to quantify that level of love and he regretted that it took him too long to have kids like Noah and Elias.
