John Mayer to drop new single 'Love on the Weekend'
"Gravity" singer John Mayer, after taking some time away from his solo endeavors to join Dead & Company on tour, revealed that his project "Love on the Weekend" will be unveiled on November 17.
He shared a cryptic image on his Twitter and Instragram account presenting teasers on the new material, which indicates that he will finally have something to follow up to his 2013 release Paradise Valley. Fans may have no idea what the teasers are about, but they'll eventually find out.
Mayer's last release was technically a Beyonce cover in the 2014 release "XO." He spent time touring and filling Jerry Garcia's spot on stage with "Dead and Company." Recently a report claims that despite of Mayer's breakup with Katy Perry, both of them remain friends. They seem to have no hard feelings about their break up.
Mayer has won seven awards from nineteen nominations; whereas he started his career mainly performing acoustic rock tunes, he eventually moved towards the blues genre that had originally influenced him as a musician. At present, he is a successful singer, music composer, guitarist and producer.
Aside from dating Katy and a mysterious date night with Demi Lovato, Mayer has kept a pretty low profile over the last couple of years. So, this song can be a good beginning again. At least his fans can rejoice now, as new music from him is on the way.
