Janet Jackson Says She’s OK; First Baby’s Name Has Something to Do with The King of Pop
No one has heard from Janet Jackson since April and fans are getting very worried. After confirming that she and hubby Wissam Al Mana were expecting their first baby in October, the singer now opens up to fans on her Twitter page about her condition. She also wants to reassure fans that she is doing OK despite her initial health concerns.
MSN reported the 50-year old star's condition citing her exclusive tweet. Janet said on Twitter: "Hey you guys... It's been awhile... but I'm still listening... I feel your love and prayers. Thank you... and I'm doing well. Al Hamdu Iillah." The last phrase is Arabic and translates to "Praise be to God" in English.
The "Rhythm Nation" singer announced her pregnancy to People last month and said that she and her husband were busy "planning a family." According to a source, because of Janet's age, pregnancy has not been easy. But even though her age made it difficult to conceive a child, doctors said that she is doing fine and simply advised her to take it easy.
E! News said that Janet is due very soon and a source close to the singer revealed that she can't wait to have a baby. The celebrity news site also said that Janet and her husband are busy thinking of a fitting name for their firstborn. Reports said that they might be considering a name that has something to do with the late King of Pop Michael Jackson or they might also use something similar to Michael if the baby is a girl.
Women who are at the age of 50 may find it difficult to become pregnant at this age. However, a fertility specialist said that even with this condition, Janet Jackson should not be worried at all as her due date nears.
