Ubisoft Gives Fans Free 'Assassin's Creed 3'; Nintendo Switch Could Change Gaming?
Ubisoft is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a generous giveaway. Fans of the game publisher will have the opportunity to grab "Assassin's Creed 3" for free starting December 7. However, there are exceptions as to who can avail of the giveaway.
"Assassin's Creed 3" will be up for grabs starting this month until the end of December. Those who qualify will need to register for a Uplay account. The offer is only available for PC and those who haven't gotten their copies of "Far Cry: Blood Dragon" may get theirs as well before December 7, IGN notes.
"Assassin's Creed 3" is the sequel for "Assassin's Creed: Revelations" instead of "Assassin's Creed 2" which has Desmond Miles as the protagonist, a descendent of Ezio Auditore de Firenze from the previous games.
Since the unveiling of the Nintendo Switch, Ubisoft has been praising Nintendo's new console. In fact, an Ubisoft executive even said that the Nintendo Switch is far superior to the Wii right off the bat.
In a report by Polygon, Ubisoft's Xavier Poix confirms that the Nintendo Switch may change the way games will be played in the future. In terms of developing games, Poix compares the two consoles saying the Wii is not very friendly to developers no matter how unique the design is. However, the Nintendo Switch seems to offer a new way of gaming as well as making it more convenient for gamers in the future.
It was recently revealed that the Nintendo Switch will be a hybrid console which is portable as players can play games on TV with a detachable part that allows them to bring their games on the go. This was confirmed by the fact that Nintendo Switch's controller has a touch screen. Nintendo has kept mum about the Switch but more information about the console will hopefully be revealed soon as it is expected to be launched early next year.
