Xiaomi released the newest addition to its TV line up at the CES 2017 event, Mi TV 4. The Mi TV 4 has ton of new features but its USP evidently is that it is 30 percent thinner than iPhone 7 and 37 percent thinner than Mi Mix. The Chinese brand also unveiled a range of other products including Mi Router HD, a drone, an electric folding bike, a brand new white variant of Mi Mix smartphone and various other smart home gadgets.

The ultra slim Mi TV 4 will come in three different sizes (44, 55 and 65 inches) and is only 4.9 mm wide at its thinnest point. Xiaomi's VP Hugo Barra also added that it has virtually no bezel and is almost invisible when you look at it from the side. The Mi TV 4 houses a brushed metal back cover and has a transparent stand reports, Gadgets NDTV.

Mi TV 4 will have an Al-driven system and Xiaomi'sPatchWall UI as operating system. Inspired by modern magazine layouts, it has an adaptive grid system and also offers personalised recommendations from millions of titles. According to Hugo Barra their biggest innovation in building smart TVs is their approach to building modular TVs which can be clearly seen in Mi TV 4. Normally you would find the display and motherboard of a TV in a single package but Xiaomi here with its latest variant allows users to independently upgrade their motherboard reports, Trusted Reviews.

Mi TV 4 comes with a sound bar connected to it via a single cable and sporting all of the TV's ports. This Dolby Atmos-compatible bar actually includes 10 speakers, two satellite speakers and a subwoofer. Though the pricing is yet to be announced, according to some reports it will sell under $2000 and will be shipped latter this year.
