David Bowie Tour, New Album: Singer Releases 42 Words on 'The Next Day', 2013 Tour Update, Music Video Featuring Gary Oldman?
Legendary artist David Bowie recently released a brand new album titled The Next Day. His first album in nearly a decade was released in March and understandably came with a lot of fan fare. Bowie made headlines back on January 8 when the 66-year-old released a brand new single titled, "Where Are We Now?" Bowie has been extremely quiet about the new album, so much so, that his first 42 words about the album weren't released until just recently.
Writer Rick Moody convinced Bowie to break his silence on the new album, which has been widely praised by critics and fans. So instead of a traditional radio interview or magazine cover article, Bowie released 42 words, which have been described as a "work flow diagram."
Here is Bowie's work flow diagram for The Next Day:
Effigies

If this leaves you scratching your head or at the very least wanting more, you're not alone. You can read Moody's essay on The Next Day on The Rumpus here. For fans hoping for a tour you may have to wait. It doesn't sound like Bowie will be touring any time soon, although his wife Iman did recently hint in an interview that its a possibility.
Despite there being no immediate plans to tour, Bowie was recently spotted shooting a music video for The Next Day, which looks to be getting a guest appearance from actor Gary Oldman. You can see some photos of Bowie on set of his new music video over at The Daily Mail here.
With the single and album being released and music video currently being shot, the last ball to drop is the tour. Despite their being no confirmed reports that any sort of tour will happen, it isn't out of the question. With the success of other aging acts such as the Rolling Stones taking their shows on the road, Bowie may be inspired to hit the road himself.
