‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ Nebula and Star-Lord to Face Daddy Issues With Thanos and Ego
"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" will hit the theaters this year, but a lot of plot details haven't been revealed yet. Recently, though, Karen Gillan, who will reprise her role as Nebula in the sequel, hinted at some film spoilers during her interviews. Meanwhile, James Gunn, the movie director, is going to start working on the film score in London, UK.
"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" score promises to be more awesome
Gunn posted an Instagram picture of himself and his girlfriend on a plane to London. He wrote that he was finally going to do what he loved - recording the film's musical score. The "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is already in post-production, but aside from the trailers, not much has been spilled about the film.
Comicbook reports that the sequel will finally focus on Peter Quill's father. The first "Guardians of the Galaxy" film was a huge hit in 2014. Its score also got a lot of attention and its homage to classic rock gained the film a lot of attention and love. Several characters from the first film will be back for the second one.
"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" cast list
Chris Pratt will be back as Peter Quill a.k.a. Star-Lord. Zoe Saldana will reprise her role as Gamora. Dave Bautista will still be Drax the Destroyer. Vin Diesel will also return, this time, as Baby Groot. Rocket, the raccoon, will still be voiced by Bradley Cooper. Michael Rooker will be back as Yandu and Karen Gillan will also return as Nebula.
Kurt Russell will also be part of the film as a humanoid Ego, which is set to replace Emperor J'Son of Spartax as Peter's father. That's right, Gunn won't be lifting comic book characters as is into his film. Ego, the living planet, will be more anthropomorphic. Meanwhile, Karen Gillan revealed some interesting "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" plot details, The Hollywood Reporter reported.
Gillan said that the second film will be funnier, with an even more amazing score. According to the 29-year-old "Jumanji" actress, family issues will be at the center of the next film. Fans will also be able to a more human and sympathetic side to Nebula, who has her own daddy issues in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2". Even her relationship with Gamora will be explored. This is certainly exciting since Nebula will also appear in "Avengers: Infinity War".
