‘Quantico’ Season 2 to Follow Only One Timeline; Spoilers Hint at Alex Becoming a Terrorist
"Quantico" Season 2 returned this 2017 with Episode 9 after a disturbing and shocking revelation. Ryan Booth (Jake McLaughlin) was revealed to be one of the terrorists during last year's midseason finale. The episode ended with a cliffhanger. Fans are excited to see what's next for Alex Parrish (Priyanka Chopra).
"Quantico" Season 2 Part 2 so far
In Episode 9 "Cleopatra", after Ryan frees Alex, she is taken to the FBI. Alex tells her interrogator, Hannah Wyland (Eliza Coupe), that Ryan is one the terrorists. They don't believe her at first. When they go check Alex's claims, though, they find out that the terrorists are people after the AIC.
While waiting inside the interrogation room, Alex gets kidnapped by Miranda Shaw (Aunjanue Ellis). Pointing a gun at her head, Miranda forces Alex to drive them away from the headquarters. She tells Alex that she is one of the terrorists and that, after their talk, Alex will become one, too. Hollywood Life reported that things will go quickly out of hand and that Alex might have to sacrifice her integrity to save innocents.
Things had gotten heavy and intense in the later half of "Quantico" Season 2. Behind the scenes, main lead Priyanka Chopra got injured while filming episodes of the suspense thriller show. The actress suffered a concussion, but has since recovered from the incident stronger than ever.
"Quantico" Season 2 next episodes will follow only one timeline
Entertainment Weekly sat down with her to discuss what fans can expect in the next few episodes of "Quantico" Season 2. Chopra said that the story will pick up where the midseason finale left off. The 34-year-old actress said that viewers will know more about the AIC and their secrets after two episodes.
She said that the writers at "Quantico" never liked to stretch things out beyond the limit of the fans' patience. Alex will be taking matters into her own hands, knowing that there's something wrong with the entire terrorist agenda. The show will move away from terrorism plots, but Chopra said that the series will still depict relevant socio-political issues. In fact, one of the upcoming episodes will feature the repercussions of fake news.
Fans will also be glad to know that in the next few episodes, "Quantico" Season 2 will only follow one timeline. This is an interesting departure from the show's usual style. Find out how it'll happen when "Quantico" returns on Jan. 30 at 10 PM on ABC.
