"The Elder Scrolls 6" Release Date: Game Could Come Out By 2018, Rumors Hint

It hasn't been too long ago that Bethesda's Pete Hines addressed questions on the release of "The Elder Scrolls 6" that rumors are swirling online of a possible release window. According to hopeful fans, the game has hopes for releasing by 2018 if the studio focuses on its development.

A recent report by Express UK cited a tweet by Hines clarifying that there has been no delays in the development of The Elder Scrolls 6. He explained that the studio is focusing on releasing two other games before they get to releasing the sequel to the hit franchise.

"The studio is working on what they want to work on. they have other plans before they get to TES6," Hines tweeted. This statement effectively ended earlier speculations that the studio will release the sixth installment to "The Elder Scrolls" franchise this year.

However, a fresh report by Neurogadget has revived the hope of fans that they do not need to wait another five years -- the standard development period for Bethesda releases -- before the studio releases TES6.

According to the report, there is hope that "The Elder Scrolls 6" can be released as early as 2018 because of the lack of news on the part of the development of "Fallout 5." The article cited a statement of Pete Hines that Bethesda was not focusing on "Fallout 4" this calendar year. This opens the possibility that studio is already busy with its only other franchise, TES.

Still, this runs contrary to earlier reports that the studio is already in the pre-production stages of Fallout 5 as teased by voice actor Ryan Alosio, who did the voice for Deacon in the last installment of the franchise.

According to the actor, who replied to a fan query on one of his Instagram posts, the next sequel is already in pre-production stages but he is not at liberty to get into details. Barring an official statement from Bethesda, the status of both "The Elder Scrolls 6" and "Fallout 5" remain speculations.
