Arrested Development Season 4 News, John Krasinski: 'Office' Star Joins Netflix Exclusive Series, Will Wife Emily Blunt Come On Board?

The comeback season for the family comedy series Arrested Development comes back exclusively on Netflix at the end of this month but the show recently added yet another guest star: John Krasinski. Known for his work on NBC's The Office, Krasinski joins the regular cast including Jason Bateman and Portia de Rossi as well as other guest stars including Seth Rogen and Kristen Wiig. The Office will end its nine-season run this week, so it is a good thing John gets to be seen on another comedy very soon after leaving the air.

Not a lot is known about other guest actors on the fourth season of Arrested Development and the same goes for Krasinski. His smart aleck character of Jim Halpert on the hit network comedy might be a hint to at least what kind of character he might play. Though, to be fair, Krasinski does have more range than that and has been in many films that prove this.

Another big question is, now that Krasinski is on board, will his wife, actress Emily Blunt, also make an appearance? She too is known for her comedic skills so it would not be a bad idea. Her breakout role was in The Devil Wears Prada, in which she stole many scenes with her character's harsh yet humorous attitude.

Last night, the cast, crew and guests premiered a screening of the new season in Hollywood. The show's creator, Mitchell Hurwitz, explained a little bit about the new series to the crowd.

"The show we're doing, it's 15 episodes. Together they sort of become one giant Arrested Development that slowly unfolds ... everybody kind of has their own chapter in it." He added: "Everybody has gone out on a limb on this thing, in a very major way. We're doing something that I think is very new."
