Kristin Cavallari Acting Career On Hold: Jay Cutler Fiancée Turns Down Offers to Focus On Chicago Bears Quarterback, Fashion Line, 'Family Comes First'
Kristin Cavallari has turned down several acting offers in recent months to focus on her fashion line and her fiancé, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, according to an interview with Coco Eco magazine.
Cavallari, who rose to fame when she starred on the reality shows "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County" and its spin-off "The Hills," told the magazine that she declined several offers because she wanted to stay in Chicago with Cutler and focus on her family and fashion line.
"I've passed on a couple of things that would have kept me here in L.A. because my fiancé Jay has to be in Chicago, so if I was here, we would never see each other," Cavallari said. "The sacrifices we make for love."
The 26-year-old has a shoe line with Chinese Laundry and recently launched a jewelry collection with GLAMboutique. With all that on her plate, life in front of the camera could have proved too stressful.
"It's easy to get wrapped up in your career and have that be your only focus, and I want my marriage to work and last, and family comes first," Cavallari said. "The design work is great because I can do most of it from Chicago and I have so much fun with it. I love it and it all works out."
Cavallari settled down in Chicago with Cutler some time after the birth of their son, Camden Jack, on Aug. 8, 2012. The two started dating in the fall of 2010 and got engaged in April 2011. The couple split up in July 2011 when Cutler called off the engagement but Cavallari tweeted in Nov. 2011 that the two were engaged again.
Cavallari and Cutler plan to tie the knot this summer.
