NES Classic Mini Hack: Here's How To Load 700 Games In Your Console
The Nintendo Classic Mini is one of the rarest console, if not the rarest, of the decade. It contains only 30 games, and there is no other way to acquire new games without hacking the console. Luckily for the fans out there, a new hack is now available and this new hack can add 700 NES games in the NES Classic.
As reported by Nintendo Today, this is not the first time that the rare nintendo classic edition has been hacled. Hackers once tried bringing the number of games in the console to 60 and succeeded. The hack doesn't need the console to be opened because the hack can be done through USB cable. Now hackers get more ambitious and made sure that adding games won't be necessary again, as adding games can be done once and for all with 700+ game titles.
The YouTube video from user TootyUK was out and in this video is the tutorial (a 21 minutes long video) on how to do the hack. The hack will be using the Hakchi 2.11. The method requires more "Know-how" than the 60 games hack but it is still doable for for not so computer savvy users. Be reminded that hacking the device will void the warranty and if the hack was done wrong, the device might be bricked.
In addition, hacking the game and stuffing more games on it is illegal. Nintendo even created a hidden secret message for the hackers that will try hacking the device. It is written in the secret message that Hanafuda Captain wants the console "neat". As WWG warned, "only do it if you know what you're getting into.".
Well its really up to the user if the user wants to hack the device. If anything goes wrong, the burden of breaking the device is also on the user. The 700+ NES games is tempting but, breaking the device might be the dealbreaker here. See the video below if still curious about the process.
