Sony has released its new Platinum Wireless headset this January, and it is regarded as the new must have for sophisticated gamers who want everything perfect. This headset for PlayStation 4 has become the new epitome for virtual reality sound and it comes with the price of $159.99. The features and revamped technology of the headset will be featured.
First thing first, as reported by GameSpot, the headset is foldable so you can easily store the headset with little space needed. There is a thick rubber headband that is rests under the frame so that your head will feel comfortable while using it. However, the inward audio driver which have a slanted design and are supposed to be aligned flush to the user's ear might be a problem with users with bigger ears as the drivers will be pressed tightly. The ear cups are also comfortable but it is also too tight it might cause irritability in the long use. Feature wise, Euro Gamer reported that Sony Platinum Wireless headset includes 7.1 virtual surround that compliments PlayStation's 3D audio tech. The sound that will come from the headset will not only be heard coming from the usual left to right, sounds will come from every direction. The headset also comes with noise-cancelling microphones and build-in rechargeable battery. The headset can also be used with mobile devices and PlayStation VR with the use of 3.5mm audio cable. The headset will also be compatible with the Headset Companion App.
