Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder Reuniting On 'TVD': Nikki Reed Allegedly Upset Seeing Delena
Nina Dobrev is officially returning to "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 to reprise her role as Elena Gilbert. Dobrev's return means she'll be reuniting with her real life and on-screen lover, Ian Somerhalder a.ka. Damon Salvatore.
According to E! News, Nina Dobrev has officially confirmed her return through a picture of "The Vampire Diaries" finale script that she posted on Instagram with caption: "I know it's Thursday, but this is not a TBT. #BackOnSet #TVDForever." A lot of fans have been waiting for Delena reunion although that means they're going to say goodbye to Bonnie Bennett.
However, there might be something standing in the way of Elena and Damon reunion. It has nothing to do with "The Vampire Diaries" story in general, but the former lovers Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder reportedly involve in a quarrel on set. It's still unclear what they've been feuding about, but rumor says it's because Nikki Reed wants her husband to keep his distance from Nina since she's allegedly upset seeing they're back on set together.
Nikki Reed reportedly worried that her husband still hs left over feelings for his ex and co-star, Nina Dobrev. It is known that Nina and Ian dated for three years before they decided to call it quit in 2013 because the actress wasn't ready to settle down. After their break-up, Ian Somerhalder started seeing Nikki Reed and eventually married in 2015.
It's understandable if Nikki Reed feeling uneasy seeing his husband reuniting with his ex, even if it's only for the role. Ever since she's been together with Ian, rumors sparked that her husband had been seeing Dobrev secretly and planned to dump her for his ex, despite her pregnancy. Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder's relationship has even been rumored to fall apart although they're finally able to patch things up and were seen together in LAX Airport, as reported by Daily Mail.
Despite this alleged feud between Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, fans are still excited to watch Delena reunion. "The Vampire Diaries" creator, Julie Plec, has warned fans to get ready for a heartbreaking scene. Whatever it is that will make fans left heartbreaking, it must be something that's worth waiting for.
