Pink ‘Reformed Slut:' Songstress Reveals She Dated ‘N Sync Member Joey Fatone, Calls Herself A ‘Reformed Slut’
Pink appears in the June issue of Glamour magazine, reveals she dated former 'N Sync member Joey Fatone and called herself a "reformed slut."
The word "slut" is all over Pink's vocabulary and sex is a heavy theme on her latest album, Walk of Shame. The pop star tells Glamour that she uses the word to make it insignificant:
"It's my very unsophisticated way of taking the power back. I've always had an issue with (the idea that), 'OK, we've both decided to do this. Why am I a slut and you're the player? You didn't get anything from me that I didn't get from you.'"
In the interview, Pink also reveals that she dated Fatone when she opened for 'N Sync in the early 2000s:
"Joey Fatone was in love with me. He took me to Friendly's on a date, and he bought me an ice cream. Such a sweetheart. He asked my dad's permission."
The relationship obviously did not last, as the 33-year-old singer married motocross racer Carey Hart in Costa Rica on Jan. 7, 2006. The two met at the 2001 X Games in Philadelphia and briefly separated in 2003 before Pink proposed to Hart at a Mammoth Lakes motocross race in 2005 with a sign on her pit board that said, "Will you marry me?"
The two have a 23-month old daughter named Willow.
Pink also discussed her marriage and occasionally rocky relationship with Hart with Glamour:
"Long-term relationships are an everyday choice. It's harder to be in a marriage than it is to bounce from one relationship to the next. We're good because we communicate and we've grown up together, not because we don't fight."
