‘Diablo 3’ DLC News: Rise Of The Necromancer Pack Redefines Old Diablo 2 Class
With the "Diablo 3" DLC release date up ahead, exciting days are up ahead for players of Blizzard's hit hack and slash RPG. The highly anticipated Rise of the Necromancer pack will finally bring a new playable class to the third game of the franchise.
The upcoming "Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer" DLC will offer players the chance to play as a necromancer. Well, it's not entirely a new character for the franchise since the necromancer has been around in the previous game Diablo 2, GamesnAnime reported. But the class was left out when "Diablo III" launched in favor of another class, the witch doctor.
With their interest piqued, players are looking forward to see what game changing improvements the upcoming "Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer" DLC could be bringing to the table. Fortunately, Blizzard held a livestream Q&A event which revealed tons of details about the update.
The reintroduced necromancer class in the upcoming "Diablo 3" DLC will not be a carbon copy of the same class in the previous "Diablo 2." While the new necromancer is based on the old one, there are areas where the past and upcoming classes differ.
For example, it was revealed that necromancer's Iron Maiden skill in the previous game will not be included in the new class to be introduced by the "Diablo 3" Necromancer DLC, Mic reported. Another notable difference is that the necromancers' summoned pets will have varying duration; some summoned creatures will be only temporary while other will be permanent.
But of course, some skills of the previous "Diablo 2" necromancer class will be making it to the "Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer" DLC. For instance, Decrepify, the curse which is a combination of Amplify Damage and Weaken will be among the new necromancer's skills.
For now, Blizzard has not yet officially announced the specific "Diablo 3" DLC release date. Be sure to stay tuned to MStarsNews for the latest updates on the upcoming "Rise of the Necromancer" pack.
