‘Beauty and the Beast’ Latest TV Spots Show Some Dancing [Video]
Disney's list of animated movies that were adapted to live-action welcomes "Beauty and the Beast" as its newest addition. In the movie's newest teasers, audiences are treated to some memorable parts of the film, like the ballroom dance and Beast's transformation.
While most scenes on the "Beauty and the Beast" trailers are not new, the new ones flesh out the characters even more. One TV spot, thanks to the power of CGI, showed the shocked face of Dan Stevens as it slowly gets covered by light fur. As Comicbook reported, the image then switches to the wall, wherein a silhouette depicts the completion of the change.
The other trailer had a more festive tone. With the new rendition of the theme song "Beauty and the Beast" playing on the background, it shows the classic ballroom scene from the original "Beauty and the Beast" animated movie. Emma Watson's "Belle" and Stevens' "Beast" even wear clothes that are nearly identical to the ones worn at the 1991 classic.
Luke Evans' "Gaston" is also shown heavily on both trailers. His call to kill the "Beast" was seen on one "Beauty and the Beast" trailer, while stepping up on the table for a dance on the second.
According to Heroic Hollywood, the movie refashions the classic characters for the contemporary audience. Following closely the original 1991 movie, 2017's "Beauty and the Beast" tells the tale of a young lady who became a prisoner in a castle owned by a beast. As she slowly gets to know more the castle's enchanted staff, bit by bit, she also sees the prince behind the beast.
Directed by Bill Condon, "Beauty and the Beast" also features the talents of Ian McKellen, Ewan McGregor, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad and Stanly Tucci, among others. The castle will open its doors on March 2017.
