‘Blindspot’ Season 2 Spoilers: Bloody Reunion for Shepherd, Jane, Roman Teased
Things are about to get deadly in "Blindspot" Season 2 when Roman, Shepherd and Jane reunite. Michelle Hurd teased a fight to the death is bound to happen.
Hurd (Shepherd) talked about Shepherd's fate and plans in the second half of "Blindspot" Season 2 in a recent interview. She acknowledged the possibility that Shepherd would one day reunite with her adopted children, Roman (Luke Mitchell) and Jane (Jaimie Alexander). However, there is bound to be some deadly repercussions involved when they meet, given their betrayal.
"When they do come together, it'll be a mammoth fight to the edge of death," Hurd told Entertainment Online.
It is understandable why Shepherd would want to fight back. After all, Roman and Jane betrayed her. To recap, in the midseason finale of "Blindspot" Season 2, Roman refused to kill his sister under their mother's orders. Instead, Roman shot Shepherd. Luckily, she escaped and survived.
Despite his betrayal, Shepherd is still hopeful that Roman will return to Sandstorm at some point in "Blindspot" Season 2. Hurd said that Shepherd feels that Roman will come back to her. However, Jane is a lost cause, since Shepherd has already accepted that she is loyal to the FBI.
In the same interview, Hurd talked about Shepherd's fallback plan in "Blindspot" Season 2, now that Roman and Jane out of Sandstorm. Hurd said that Shepherd plans to use Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) to infiltrate the FBI.
"In her own little off-kilter way, she feels that with Weller on board, everything is going to fall in line and be exactly as she planned," Hurd said.
Shepherd is likely going to succeed in recruiting Shepherd in "Blindspot" Season 2. This is what showrunner Martin Gero hinted at in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. He said that Weller definitely has no choice but to join Sandstorm.
