Lindsay Lohan, Betty Ford Clinic: 'The Canyons' Actress Checks In to New Rehab Facility, Narrowly Avoids Arrest After Leaving Treatment Yesterday

Lindsay Lohan has checked into the Betty Ford Center rehabilitation facility just a few hours after walking out of Morningside Recovery because the facility had lost its license to treat patients. This departure just minutes after checking into the facility almost ended in the arrest of the 26-year-old singer/actress, but luckily Lohan re-hired her former attorney Shawn Holley who orchestrated the successful outcome. So after all of the drama from yesterday the new question is: Can Lindsay last the court-ordered 90 days in rehab?

"Lindsay went back to rehab last night, and arrived before midnight. Lindsay ISN'T back at Morningside. Her former attorney, Shawn Holley, was officially brought back on the case yesterday after Lindsay was calling her all day Thursday. Shawn was able to convince prosecutors that Lindsay was taking rehab seriously, but her former attorney, Mark Heller, bungled everything," a source said.

After being re-hired, Holley immediately set up Lohan's admission to the Betty Ford Center and negotiated with prosecutor Terry White to back off on arresting the celebrity. White agreed and found the new facility to be acceptable.

Lohan had previously sought rehab treatment at the Betty Ford Center back in 2010. This stay ended poorly when Lindsay reportedly attacked a staff member there. Perhaps a similar incident will occur?

Though she fled the original rehab facility after only two minutes, Lindsay did make one good decision yesterday: She fired Mark Heller and re-hired Shawn Holley.

"Right now, Lindsay is focused on getting better. She wanted the drama to end, and that is why she fired Mark Heller. She was literally telling Shawn she would sell a body part if she would take her on as a client again. Shawn agreed, and Lindsay appreciates everything she has done for her. When Shawn says jump, Lindsay will automatically do so," the source added.
