Sam Heughan is open about his attraction to his "Outlander" leading lady Caitriona Balfe. In fact, in an interview with E! News, a year ago, the latter shuts down rumors that they are dating. Balfe thinks that it's difficult for them to "work together and be together." However, Heughan's response was, "Yeah, we could try."

At the time, the stars are done filming "Outlander" Season 3 but Sam Heughan is not pleased by being away from Caitriona Balfe. In fact, whenever they are not together he feels like "having a death in the family."

"It's always hard when we're apart, actually, because she's a great person, great to come to work with, and a very good actress," Heughan told Vanity Fair. Caitriona Balfe just laughed it off and even joked that she's hurting as her rumored boyfriend is already killing her on his mind.

Sam Heughan struggles to explain why he is feeling such when he is not with Balfe. He just reasoned out that it is difficult to separate from his character Jamie that's why he wants to be near Balfe often. When they are apart it is like playing a different show.
