WWE News: Curt Hawkins Revealed Superstar Who Used To Hide Backstage & Avoid Fights!
An appearance into WWE can make any professional and amateur wrestlers reach stardom. Undeniably, scoring a fight in WWE is the ultimate career goal of all wrestlers. Moreover, superstar wrestlers appear in the multi-million wrestling channel once or a few times throughout their career. Apparently, a story has surfaced about a very popular wrestler who actually opted to hide backstage when agents and writers came looking in order to avoid the ring and wrestle/work.
The story, however, does not refer to Curt Hawkins who has been a wrestler since 2004. But the story was told by Hawkins himself. Last 2006, Hawkins had grabbed his first opportunity with WWE. Upon his initial success in 2007, he had been called up to the main roster and was placed in a rather successful tag team with Zack Ryder were both has been associated with WWE Hall of Famer Edge.
Hawkins recently sat down in an interview with the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast where he discussed a handful of topics pertaining to his career and the careers of others. One of those he mentioned is JTG who is a former WWE superstar who wrestled with Shad Gaspard as a member of Cryme Tyme.
Wrestling Inc. transcribed the said interview below where Hawkins actually shared an interesting and rather sad story regarding JTG and how he used to hide backstage to avoid having to wrestle. "We used to bust balls, like, JTG would literally hide in the locker room and just not want to... for him to be there and get his $500.00 for the day to do nothing and eat catering, and hide in the locker room is perfectly fine to him. I understand it and I don't," Hawkins explained.
Furthermore, Hawkins emphasized his dedication to his profession saying that he refuse to be ever kicked out from WWE. He would willingly do a match or participate in a match on television because that is his job.
The story means that being in the ring is painful as hell but it is for the sake of everyone's entertainment. This was proven by the wrestler in WWE who is contended with the $500 per day salary and does nothing. JTG cannot be blamed as everyone loves to get rich, but not everyone loves to get home with their family with broken bones. Meanwhile, many have criticized the said wrestler with a question: Why work to be a professional wrestler if you avoid the ring and perform? Well, only professional wrestlers can answer that question themselves.
