Playstation 5 Updates: TouchScreen DualShock 5 Controllers, VR Support And More Features
The PlayStation 5 is expected to replicate, and better, to exceed the success of its predecessor, the PlayStation 4. But to do that, improvements and new innovation must be big, and the console must be able to compete with the ever growing world of Virtual Reality. While PlayStation 4 is still in the spotlight, here are the things that are expected to come on PlayStation 5.
According to TechRadar, the rise of 4K TVs will have a big result in the world of console gaming. Chris Kingley, the CTO of "Rebellion" said that if given a proper thought, the PlayStation 5 might be able to come with 8K TV support. But if the PlayStation 5 will come with native 4K TV support, it must be a sign that the console will come earlier than expected.
The PlayStation 5 is also set to come with PlayStation VR and it might take things to a higher level. It is expected that the VR support will be equal if not better than Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. In addition, a better Sony PlayStation VR headset is expected to come with the PlayStation 5 release. The PlayStation 5 is also expected to see some improvement sin RAM and Storage area.
As for the controller, Danny Haymond from PS5 has designed a model with a levitating PlayStation5 Console with Touch Screen Dualshock 5 controller that might come in the future. The console offers no disk drive or and will be using QRAM. The touchpad in the controller was replaced with a Touch Screen.
PlayStation 5 is expected to come on 2018. This speculation is only speculation, but Wall Street Journal's Takashi Mochizuki also seem to find this theory possible. He posted via his Twitter account that Damian Thong's prediction about PlayStation 5 coming on 2nd half of 2018 is highly possible. It happened to PS4 Slim before.
