How Charlie Hunnan Might Still Join ‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Spinoff
Charlie Hunnan in "Sons of Anarchy" gave such compelling performance that many fans cannot help but feel a bit sad when the hit FX series had to end. It was actually a double whammy for fans as Hunnan's character, Jax Teller, also met his demise in the show's finale.
But now that the "Sons of Anarchy" spinoff "Mayan MC" has been greenlit, hope of Charlie Hunnan likewise being cast in the upcoming show has reemerged. For fans keen on knowing what the actor's views are on the possibility, Hunnan actually expressed his opinion on the matter.
Charlie Hunnan admitted that it might be tricky for him to join the "Sons of Anarchy" spinoff. Unlike HBO's hit fantasy series "Game of Thrones" where almost anything is possible, it is pretty hard to resurrect a dead character ala Jon Snow-style in the motorcycle-themed crime drama series.
"The last I saw, Jax Teller was dead," Charlie Hunnam was quoted in a The Wrap report. Jax Teller was the character he portrayed in "Sons of Anarchy." In the series finale, Teller was seen riding his bike into a collision course with an oncoming truck.
But fans are not yet losing hope. Charlie Hunnan himself offered one possible way on how he could join the "Sons of Anarchy" spinoff "Mayan MC."
"Listen, if they call me, I'll do it," Charlie Hunnam confirmed his willingness to be in the "Sons of Anarchy" spinoff, even if only for a cameo. One way this will happen is a dream sequence, an opportunity that he will not decline.
Meanwhile, production of the "Sons of Anarchy" "Mayan MC" is on tract. In fact, the upcoming series has already found its lead recently.
In a recent announcement, actor JD Pardo has been tapped to play the leading role of "Mayan MC," according to the Hollywood Reporter. The actor will portray EZ Reyes on the "Sons of Anarchy" spinoff, a character bent on vengeance against a cartel.
At the moment, there is no announced release date for "Mayan MC." Stay tuned to MStarsNews for updates on Charlie Hunnan as well as his possible cameo in the "Sons of Anarchy" spinoff.
