Honey Boo Boo Wedding: Mama June, Sugar Bear Getting Hitched! Season 2 of TLC's 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' this Summer, New Book
Let's just call it a "Honey Boo Boo Wedding." TMZ is reporting that Honey Boo Boo's parents will be getting married this weekend! June "Mama June" Shannon and Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson are getting married today (Sunday, May 5) in a Cinco de Mayo themed wedding. According to the wedding invitation obtained by TMZ, the event will be taped, which means fans will likely get to celebrate with the family on TLC's "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo."
June and Mike met in an online chat room nine years ago and now have a very famous child in Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson. June and her daughter became instant reality stars after appearing on the show "Toddlers and Tiaras" before getting their own spinoff on TLC called "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo," which has turned into a instant hit.
June has one child with Mike, but an additional three children Anna, Jessica, Lauryn from previous relationships. "Mama June" made headlines recently with her weight loss. She recently showed off her 100 pound weight loss on the red carpet for the GLAAD Media Awards back in March. The 33-year-old revealed she lost the weight in part due to the hectic TV schedule.
June is also working on a new book in July titled, "How to Honey Boo Boo: The Complete Guide on How to Redneckognize the Honey Boo Boo in You." According to Amazon.com, the HarperCollins published book will be released on July 9. Season 2 of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" is expected to premiere sometime this summer. Wow, the Honey Boo Boo family has a very busy summer ahead!
It hasn't been all fun and games for the family; however, as Radar Online reported, a fellow "Toddler and Tiara" star's mother apparently isn't as impressed with Honey Boo Boo and Mama June. In a new tell-all book from the manager of fellow "Toddler and Tiara" Eden, the young girl's mother Mickie Wood was extremely jealous of Honey Boo Boo. Eden went on to have her own show on Logo TV titled "Eden's World," but it hasn't reached the popularity of Honey Boo Boo's spinoff. According to Radar Online, the new book from Heather Ryan reveals that Eden's mother said Honey Boo Boo's family was "vomit inducing." Ouch!
