"Attack on Titan" Season 2 is still not ready but fans have been waiting for it for years. The new season will reportedly have a lesser intense plot and will focus on the unexplored characters in the first season.

"AOT" chief director Araki Tetsuro and director Koizuka Masashi share some juicy details about the new season. According to the pair, the "Attack on Titan" Season 2 will have a new plot and focus.

When the two were asked about "Attack on Titan" Season 2 having a lesser intense plot than the first season, Araki seems to counter it. " Not at all. We're actually tackling with the idea of "Can an anime even contain this many action sequences?" Our hearts are quite stirred," Araki told Fukushuu.

Koizuka added that season 1 had more street battles but the second season will feature an evolved strategy and presentation. "Attack on Titan" Season 2 will have more running horses.

For those wondering what to expect in "Attack on Titan" Season 2, Koizuka added that they will explore new characters and they are those who didn't have key roles in the first season. Meanwhile, Araki teased that the upcoming season is a must-see.

"When I consider the quality of what has been created, I feel like saying, 'You must see it!' (Laughs) It's truly an incredible piece of work!" said Araki about "Attack on Titan" Season 2. New elements that are not in the manga will also be incorporated in the anime series. Thus, there is a lot of stuff that fans can look forward to in the new season.

Meanwhile, IGN reported that a new key art for "Attack on Titan 2" was released. The promotional art featured the key characters in the series with a dreaded look on their faces. By just looking at it, you will know that something big is going to happen in the new season.
