‘Pirates Of The Caribbean 5’ Update: Disney Teases Fans With New Poster, Promises Trailer

The upcoming "Pirates Of The Caribbean 5" has a new poster! Additionally, the fifth installment, "Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales", will have another trailer come tomorrow.

The official Disney Twitter account tweeted the good news about "Pirates Caribbean 5" early today. The tweet also included the brand new poster for the film. Plus, Disney promised to release the film's first full trailer the following day.

From the looks of the "Pirates Of The Caribbean 5" poster, Javier Bardem as Armando Salazar will be menacing. It also shows Geoffrey Rush and his monkey and, of course, everyone's favorite pirate, Johnny Depp. Cinema Blend noted that the actor has been markedly absent from Disney's previous sneak peeks. The entertainment website surmises there are only two possible reasons. One is that the company could have been building up hype around his return. Or they wanted him out of the spotlight due to domestic abuse allegations. But fans sure can expect that Captain Jack Sparrow will be present in the anticipated trailer.

Aside from Javier Bardem's scary looming face, there are other creatures present that give the creeps in the poster. At the bottom, just above the title of "Pirates Of The Caribbean 5", are the figures of what look like ghostly sharks. While there is no further information available about the film, fans can expect their ragtag heroes to fight those creatures. Or maybe the trailer that is yet to be released will show what else moviegoers would see.

Sure, the new "Pirates Of The Caribbean 5" does not give away much about the film's content. However, Comic Book shared that the trailer has already been rated by Alberta Film Ratings. And fans can also look forward to 2 and a half minutes of pure trailer goodness.

As the poster showed, "Pirates Of The Caribbean 5" will arrive in movie theaters on May 26. It will also star Kaya Scodelario, Orlando Bloom and Brenton Thwaites.
