Kristen Stewart has made it known that she is steering clear off all forms of social media. She hates how it has become too ingrained in modern society. Recently, she called the world of social media as superficial. This didn’t escape the attention of some fans, however, who think that the last one was a shade Kristen was throwing at her ex Robert Pattinson’s fiancé FKA Twigs.

It is widely known that FKA Twigs is an avid Instagram user. In fact, she has over a million followers on her account. This is where she promotes either her music or clothing line and to mainly reach out to her fans. Meanwhile, Robert Pattinson is also not known of having any official social media account just like his “Twilight” leading lady.

In a recent interview, Kristen Stewart once again gave her reasons for not having any social media account says a report by Just Jared. She says that it simply is a huge time waster. Besides, Kristen reveals that she always felt uncomfortable sharing personal details of her life with the public. She added, “With text and social media, it’s essentially a dialogue with yourself and your interpretation of a shadow.”

Kristen Stewart calls texting or social media as a new language that people get addicted to and end up wasting so much time with according to Fox News. This is in order to validate something superficial and prove their worth online. The actress further stressed that she tries to keep her personal life as private as possible.

There are people who believe, however, that Kristen Stewart doesn’t need the social media for fans to have a glimpse at her life. Even without having to share her photos online, she is often the target of the paparazzi anyway. Her life has pretty much been open to the public whether she likes it or not. Because of this, people speculate that all her pronouncements against social media may just be throwing shade at Robert Pattinson’s future wife.
