The MCU is packed with hundreds of heroes and the smallest one is about to make a comeback in an untitled "Ant-Man and the Wasp" movie. The film will be in production in July 2017 and it will bring in many of the "Ant-Man" cast members. The production will be working under the project title "Cherry Blue".

After his appearance in "Captain America: Civil War", the tiniest Marvel superhero will return in his sequel, "Ant-Man and the Wasp". This time, Scott Lang a.k.a. Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) will be joined by Hope Pym a.k.a. the Wasp (Evangeline Lilly) and they will work together to defeat a new villain. The sequel will also see the return of Michael Peña as Luis and Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym.

According to Den of Geek, Jeremy Renner is rumored to join the 2018 sequel as his "Avengers" character, Hawkeye. Peyton Reed, the director, revealed that "Ant-Man and the Wasp" is going to be weirder, although it will retain its humor and action. The production is listed under the working title "Cherry Blue", but there have been no clarifications what that means.

In the first "Ant-Man" movie, Hank presented the Wasp suit to his daughter, Hope. He said that it still needed some work, but the scene certainly hinted that Hope will fight alongside Ant-Man in the 2018 "Ant-Man and the Wasp". Movieweb reported that the sequel could also introduce Hope's mother, Janet Van Dyne, who was the original Wasp.

It was rumored that Sharon Stone was cast as Janet when it was revealed that Stone will be playing a mysterious character in a Marvel project. At the end of "Ant-Man", Scott was able to get back from the Quantum Realm. There's a possibility that even Janet, who was lost in the Realm prior to the events of the first movie, might come back in the "Ant-Man and the Wasp" film. The movie is set for a July 2018 release.
