Jason Momoa Is Confirmed To Play Rico Rodrigues for ‘Just Cause’ Video Game Adaptation

Jason Momoa "Aquaman" star has been confirmed to take the role as Rico Rodrigues in the video game adaptation "Just Cause." It is stated that Momoa is fit to play this character for he holds a gallant skill in action scenes. Previously played in a superhero movie "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and a horror action movie "Wolves," he has proven his potential to fight in front of the screen.

According to IGN, this ex Khal Drogo actor will again team up with Brad Peyton as they now put on together for Netflix series "Frontier." According to Deadline, Brad Peyton,  in collaboration with producer Jeff Fierson, will carry out this film. Further more, this adaptation film will be produced by ASAP Entertainment production company.

Written by John Collee, it will have a similar story corresponded with the essence of "Just Cause" video games developed by Avalanche Studios. Thus, the main core of this story is Rodrigues' efforts as part of the Agency in overthrowing dictator Salvador Mendoza, San Esperito. Though its specific plot has not been notified to public. But, fans surely know that it will include fierce fights involving some advanced weapon.

As it is in "Just Cause" video game, it can be expected that Jason Momoa will go into explosions and gun fights. Momoa in playing the role as Rico certainly will show a 'crisis of conscience' in completing the mission. Thus, it is supposed to show Momoa fights physically and dives in a dangerous mission.

According to Variety, the adaptation film will be funded by DNA Pictures. It is a company based in China and founded by former CFO of Bona Film Group Mason Xu and Dr. Fan Dong. Drafted mostly the setup, it is supposed to be released in late 2018.
