Albeit not as great as it used to be, "Pokemon Go" is still one of the most played mobile game as to date. With the release of Gen 2 Pokemon, the fans have a new adventuring to do. Collecting all Gen 2 Pokemon and also all forms of Unowns is enough motivation to spend time on the game. But it seems to be better when Niantic will finally roll out Legendary Pokemon.

Recently, "Pokemon Go" held an event in Japan in which Snorlax spawns more frequently. According to Japan Times, spawn points has been placed near the quake-hit areas of Kumamoto and in the cities of Yufu and Beppu in Oita. This event will boost the tourism of the areas mentioned. It can be remembered that a similar event has been done with Lapras near the coasts of Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima which has been severely hit by a tsunami in 2011.

But events like this means exclusivity to some players as they can't afford to go to Japan to catch a very rare Snorlax. In some ways, this is a similar dilemma that Niantic faces when it comes to Legendary Pokemon. "Pokemon Go!" has seen Gen 2 faces, but never the Legendary Pokemon from Gen 1. It's not that Niantic didn't have a plan to release them, it's just that it is hard to think of a good way to release them.

While a "Pokemon Go" can have an event that for Legendary Pokemon to spawn on special places, it can add up to the exclusivity of the game. And it would be very painful in the neck for Niantic to organize these events. So a post from Forbes suggested that if Niantic can't do a live event, why not make it a personal quest? There will be a specific quest that can unlock a certain Legendary Pokemon in a catchable situation. In this way, the inconveniences and contingencies that can appear at a live event will be prevented.
