‘Wentworth’ Season 5 Teaser Confirms Bea’s Death; Allie Gets Her Revenge
The teaser for "Wentworth" Season 5 confirms that Bea Smith is dead and Allie Novak is bound to seek justice. Other inmates and friends of Bea join Allie exact their revenge on her killer, Joan Ferguson, as the latter is put behind bars.
"Wentworth" Season 5 takes off after the events in the Season 4 Finale, right after Joan "The Freak" Ferguson stabbed Bea with a screwdriver. Allie is out of the hospital and back in prison. By now Allie and Bea's friends already know that she is dead and have offered their condolences through flowers.
The teaser for "Wentworth" Season 5 clearly confirms that Bea did not make it out alive and for this, Joan must pay. The preview shows Joan in prison along with Allie and Bea's friends. Joan faces the anger of everyone who has grown to know and love Bea. She is clearly in trouble and her life inside jail may be numbered.
Allie certainly looks like she does not care anymore if Joan lives or dies in prison. The teaser for "Wentworth" Season 5 shows her lead the women seek revenge for Bea's death. Allie seemingly wants to torture Joan as hinted by the chain she is holding in her hand.
Kate Jenkinson, who plays Allie Novak, has since confirmed that "Wentworth" Season 5 focuses on Allie's revenge. She said that people close to Bea are bound to go after Joan Ferguson for killing Bea. She hinted at her character's willingness to take risks when it comes to avenging Bea's death. "Personally, I like watching television that takes risks, and I feel like that's what we've done here," Jenkinson told After Ellen.
However, amid Allie's revenge come speculations that she could die next in "Wentworth" Season 5. She may be the next major character to die after Bea Smith. Regardless, Jenkinson assured fans not to worry since the storyline in the show changes weekly. She told Stuff that anything can happen.
"Wentworth" Season 5 returns on air on April 4. The premiere episode focuses on getting revenge for Bea's death as the tagline "Revenge Will Set Them Free" suggests.
